SM West Vocal Music

We currently have five distinct choirs that offer students a wide range of vocal music opportunities. Our choirs are under the direction of Mr. Derek Cross.

Madrigals

Madrigals is our advanced mixed chamber choir. The ensemble consists of 24 of the best 10th-12th grade singers.

Chorale

Chorale is our top large mixed choir and is made up of primarily 11th and 12th grade students with some 10th graders.

Bella Voce

Bella Voce is our chamber women’s choir. This group is selected to comprise sophomore through senior girls.

Treble Singers

Treble Singers is one of our training choirs. The ensemble is primarily 9th grade singers but is open to any West student.

Black and Gold Singers

Black and Gold Singers is one of our training choirs. The ensemble is primarily 9th grade singers but is open to any West student.

Choir Board

The Choir Board is comprised of students selected by the director to provide leadership, plan events and work with/assist the director throughout the year. Officers are announced each spring at the Choir Banquet.
